This book was about a little boy who loves to eat junk food instead of eating the nutritious food his mother prepares for him daily.
He always hide under the dining table to eat his favorite snack “Chipzee”. One day while eating he suddenly felt a rumbling on his stomach then suddenly a yellow colored cheese monster -like came out on it. In his fear he offered his chipzee but it became furious and stronger. An idea came into his mind, he remembered all the nutritious foods on his table he refuses to eat. As the junk food monster chases him he saw the nutritious food calling him. He immediately bite the apple and it taste good so he continue to eat it, then the junk food monster became smaller and smaller until it disappear. He also felt good after eating the apple. From that time the boy began eating the nutritious food his mother prepares for him and now had fun in eating them.

A hardcover picture book. A folklore story.
I think this book would help children to learn to eat nutritious food that eating only junk foods will give them a problem or sickness. And this book will remind them to eat the food that their mother prepares for them.
My favorite part is when the junk food monster chases the boy and he remembers the nutritious food that are already calling him. I also liked that my son who's 9 years of age was able to interpret the stories clearly. It only shows that the illustrations were able to execute the right meaning to the stories.
Boys and girls who are 4 to 8 years old have to read this book together with their parent/guardian to better explain the illustrations and to avoid unclear messages regarding the monster that would give them a fear.
I give the book 5 stars since I think it's important for children to learn to eat nutritious foods especially the food that are being prepared by their mother’s or at home.
